Hanna

Pre-Hanna:

Notice the 2 huge tomato plants next to my cucumber bush. See how large they are??? They have lots of tomatoes on them....

Post- Hanna:
The lost branches and tomatoes....
My sad garden :(
The good news: I still have 2 healthy tomato plants! Woo!
They let Dan come home Friday evening because news was that Hanna wasn't going to be as bad as they had predicted. I was elated. We had some heavy rain and winds for about a half hour to an hour on Saturday morning, but nothing like what they said we'd get. That afternoon Dan and I were out and about in Virginia Beach with no fears of Tropical Storm Hanna. So much for the state of emergency and evacuation plans!!!

Awwww. Poor tomatoes. :( (I do love the pre & post pics though - so funny)

I'm glad you guys are doing well and the storm wasn't as big of a deal as it was hyped up to be! Hope you had a great weekend!

Haaa, I know, I missed the entire "storm" because we were at lunch. We have a few small dead branches in our yard, but we didn't even put our patio furniture away. I even left those empty flower pots sitting on the deck rail topper thing and they were fine.

At least you don't have to feel guilty about not being able to eat all the tomatoes!

Awww, I'm so sorry about your tomatoes! So sad! I'm glad you still have two left though. They look pretty healthy too, so thay'll give you plenty of yummy tomatoes.

I'm glad it wasn't as bad as they said. :)

Ha, that's funny that your stakes are still there! Did Dan pound those in for you?
